The CCF Miles Tracker App |
||
This App has been created by CCF accountancy to help business owners and employees keep track of their business mileage. Before reading the instructions, please note these three important points; 1) Ensure you regularly back up and export this data if this is going to be your primary mileage record. If your phone is lost, damaged etc, then you could potentially loose all of your records if not backed up. 2) When running the app in your car, always try to have it plugged into your in car charger. The app needs to run with the screen open and therefore can have high battery usage. 3) You can continue to make and receive calls etc whilst the app is running, but please ensure that when a call is finished that the screen returns to the mileage app. |
||||
CCF Miles Tracker is compatible with iphone, ipod touch and ipad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. It was developed in conjunction with Andrew Donnelly of www.iphonemobileapp.co.uk and is available to download via iTunes and we are offering this amazing app absolutely free |

If this is the first time you are using the app, check your settings; The screen you will want to use is located via the more button, bottom left and then settings. This part of the app is the settings that determine the price per mile and total mileage to date that you have done. Based on current legislation, band 1 is 45 pence per mile, band 2 is 25p, the band 2 start mileage is 10,000 miles and the total mileage this year is the number of miles you have done so far in the tax year. Keep an eye on the budget next March, because if the mileage rate changes, you will need to enter the new details into the app. |

The opening screen on the app is where the mileage recording commences. Before starting, are you making the business journey alone or will you have a passenger? As you get an extra 5 pence per mile per passenger, you will want to press the extra passenger button if you are sharing your car on the business journey. |
